Chassis:
This is the seventh of nine fourteen louver TDFs. Its most unusual feature is the additional windscreen wiper installed above the windscreen. Completed late in 1956, it was delivered to its first owner in the Spring of 1957, who later that year had the engine uprated to 280 bhp in 1958. He raced it regularly Italy achieving an 8th in class in the 1957 Mille Miglia and a scratch win in the 1958 'Coppa Weiss-Marchal in Modena. It changed hands several times and in the process was painted white before being sold to an Italian collector in 1981. He restored the car to its original red paintscheme and held on to the TDF for 25 years. The current owner received the Ferrari in February of 2006 and had it refurbished and repainted a dark red by GTO Engineering. It is pictured here during the 2007 Concorso d'Eleganza where it won the Trofeo Scaglietti for the most Elegant Ferrari as picked by the Jury.
