Chassis:
Ordered new by a Swedish Baron in November of 1934, this is one just 33 500 Ks fitted with the Cabriolet A body. In the hands of a succession of owners, the car remained in Sweden until 1983 when it was acquired by a German collector. During the late 1980s, chassis 105379 was meticulously restored, setting new standards for this type of Mercedes-Benz. In 2004, the Cabriolet A joined a Dutch collection and has since rarely been seen in public. Still among the very best of the 11 500 K Cabriolet As in existence today, it will be offered by Gooding & Co. in their January 18/19 Scottsdale auction. The pre-sale estimate is a hefty $2.5 - 3 million.
