Ordered late in 1967, this Corvette L88 was a graduation gift from the father of the first owner. He sold the car a few years later and then bought it back again. In the following year, the Corvette was bought by an Alaskan enthusiast and it remained the in that state for over a decade. Between 1987 and 2008, this L88 was owned by 'Corvette Mike' Vietro. It has since been regularly shown at Corvette events, scoring 99 out of a 100 points at Bloomington. The current owners have now consigned the rare L88 Coupe to RM Auctions, who will offer it on January 18 in their annual Scottsdale sale. The pre-sale estimate is $450,000 - $500,000.
