Chassis: DN1-3A
The third DN1 built, this chassis was sold to Graham Hill for his new Embassy Racing team. Hill himself raced the car in the 1973 Formula 1 World Championship, starting with round three of the season; the Spanish Grand Prix. Combining his functions as team manager and driver, and also fielding a brand new Formula 1 car proved even too much for the highly experienced, two-time World Champion. His best result of the year was a ninth at the Belgian Grand Prix. At the start of the 1974 season, the Shadow was replaced by a bespoke Lola.
