Chassis:
Jackie Ickx first raced this, the second 312 B, at the Spanish Grand Prix where he sadly failed to finish. It was subsequently entrusted to his alternating team-mate Ignazio Giunti and Clay Regazzoni. They could both do no better than fourth with this car in 1970. For the opening races of the 1971 season, chassis 002 was allocated to Mario Andretti, who used it to score back-to-back victories in the South African Grand Prix and the non-Championship Questor Grand Prix in Ontario, California. Following its contemporary racing career, it was acquired by the Schlumpf brothers and today it is still on display in the Musée National de l'Automobile in Mulhouse, France.
