Chassis:
First raced in the 1970 Belgian Grand Prix by Jackie Ickx, the third 312 B was also campaigned by his Swiss team-mate Clay Regazzoni. Ickx placed it second in the German Grand Prix and Regazzoni used it to finish runner-up to Ickx in Austria. Pressed into service again at the start of the 1971 season, Ickx used chassis 003 to win the non-Championship Jochen Rindt trophy at the Hockenheimring. Tagged with chassis number 004, it was sold later in the decade to Luigi Chinetti, and has since passed through the hands of various American collectors. Eventually restored for historic racing, it was acquired by an Italian enthusiast during the second half of the 2010s.
