Sold new to loyal Rome-based Ferrari customer Vincenzo Ferrario, this 250 Europa GT is one of around eight that received custom Pinin Farina bodywork. The longer nose and tail offered a preview of the upcoming 250 GT Coupe that would be built by Boano following a Pinin Farina design. Another unusual cue is the absence of the typical egg-crate grille. Like many Ferraris of the day, chassis 0407GT soon made it across the Atlantic. It was not seen for many decades, until it was acquired by the current owner, who had it completely restored. The custom 250 Europa GT has since been shown at select events.
