Chassis:
First raced at the 1976 Laguna Seca 100 miles, this chassis was ordered by Jerry Jolly. He raced the car in IMSA and Trans-Am events for the better of a season and managed to score one podium finish; a third in the 1977 Portland Trans-Am raced. From the summer of 1978, chassis 1007 was campaigned by Gerry Wellik in select Trans-Am events. He continued to race the car well into the 1981 season. It was then put into storage until it was discovered by the current owner in 2002. One of the most original DeKon Monzas in existence, it needed only a little work to be recommissioned for historic racing.
