Chassis:
The Hart engined Chevron B26 chassis 10 is best known as 'Chocolate Drop.' It was first raced in May of 1974 at an Interserie race at Silverstone where Peter Gethin managed to dice it out with much larger engined Can-Am cars. He eventually finished fifth. Later in the year Gethin, partnered by another Chevron stalwart; Brian Redman, drove 'Chocolate Drop' to an impressive fourth at Brands Hatch behind the three-litre engined prototypes. In the 1980s the chassis was fitted with a silhouette Skoda body and raced for a further two seasons. Since then the car has been carefully restored to its original condition right down to the unusual paintscheme. One of the most famous of all Chevrons, the Hart engined B26 is today campaigned only at special occasions.
