Chassis:
The second of three Toyota Celica Turbo GTOs was completed in All American Racers' workshop in July of 1986. It was campaigned well into the 1988 season before it was retired from contemporary racing. Soon after, it was sold by Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A. to their 1987 IMSA GTO Championship winning driver Chris Cord. He eventually sold the car to a collector based in Southern California, who decided to part with this very rare possession and consigned it to RM Auctions for the 2014 Arizona auction in Scottsdale on January 16h. Offered without reserve, bidding far exceeded the high estimate as it changed hands for $242,000. The rare AAR Celica has since returned to the racing track.
