Chassis:
One of the very last 1000 Coupes built, this example was acquired new by a Mr. Fogliati, who lived in the South of France. He cherished the car and used it only sparingly but did hold onto it until his death during the 2000s. Following a brief ownership in The Netherlands, it was sold to the United States in 2011. The current owners acquired the rare 1000 Coupe at auction early in 2013. With little over 22,000 km on the odometer, it has survived in remarkably original condition and even the hand-painted number-plates issued by the local garage when the car was new have survived. The only exception is the paint on the left, which need touching up after Mr. Fogliati had a small fender bender. In the summer of 2013, it was shown at The Quail, a Motorsports Gathering where it won the FIVA trophy for the best preserved car on the field.
