Chassis:
Never raced in period, this is an experimental car equipped with a very light chassis. Reportedly Porsche retained this chassis 956-006 until the late 1980s when it was sold wearing a period correct Rothmans works livery. The unique, lightweight Porsche 956 eventually ended up in the United States. Today, it is part of the spectacular collection of a Porsche enthusiast and historic racer. During some of his many outings, he is seen here in action at several editions of the Monterey Motorsports Reunion.
