Chassis:
This is the second of just two CLK-LM road cars constructed to homologate the competition car. It made its world debut at the 24 Hours Le Mans scrutineering where it was displayed alongside the two racing cars. With the first chassis used for crash testing, this is understood to be the only road-going CLK-LM remaining. It was sold later in 1998 to a Japenese collector, who later also added the Le Mans pole winning CLK-LM racer to his stable. Sold back to Europe, both cars were displayed at the 2014 Retromobile by French dealer 'Classic Sport Leicht', marking the first time the CLK-LM Strassenversion was ever displayed at a major motor show. The following year, it was shown at the Chantilly Arts & Elegance.
