Chassis:
First raced at the 1971 British Grand Prix, this was one of the second batch of three TS9s built. Notably, it was used by John Surtees to repeat his 1970 victory in the Gold Cup at Oulton Park. It was also the car used by Hailwood to score the team's season best of fourth in the Italian Grand Prix at Monza. As a TS9B, it was entrusted throughout the 1972 season to Andrea de Adamich. His best Grand Prix finish was fourth at Jerez, while he also finished second in the non-championship GP Republica Italiana at Vallelunga. At the end of the year, the car was sold to a South African, and its career continued on the African continent through to the end of the 1975 season. Chassis TS9-004 has since been restored to its works configuration.
