Chassis: TS9-005
Raced twice in 1971, this chassis was entrusted to Mike Hailwood for the 1972 season. He started the year off very well with a second place finish in the non-championship Race of the Champions at Brands Hatch. He also used the car to score the best ever Grand Prix result for a Surtees Formula 1 car when he finished second in the Italian Grand Prix. After a single outing in 1973, this Surtees TS9B was retired from contemporary racing. Since then, the car has been restored to its original configuration and livery.
