Chassis:
The final Surtees TS9 built, chassis 006 was Tim Schenken's throughout the 1972 season. The young Australian managed to finish on the podium twice in non-championship races, at both the Brands Hatch Race of Champions and the Oulton Park Gold Cup. Towards the end of the car's Formula 1 career, it was used in one-off appearances by aspiring youngsters Carlos Pace and James Hunt. Fitted with a Chevrolet V8, the chassis had a second life as a F5000 car between 1974 and 1976. Since then, it has been returned to the car's original configuration and regularly raced in historic events, most recently by Speedmaster's James Hanson.
