Chassis:
The third and final race-bred Ligier JS2 constructed, this is believed to be the car used to win the the Tour de France in 1974 with the Maserati V6 installed and it also finished second at Le Mans, now powered by a Cosworth V8, a year later. It is understood to be one of just two survivors of the three examples built. During the early 2000s, it was completely restored and has since been regularly campaigned in historic events like the Tour Auto retrospective. In 2012, it was offered in the Artcurial Le Mans Classic sale with an estimate of EUR 750,000 - 1,000,000 but the offers failed to meet the reserve set. It has since changed hands and returned to the race track in 2014.
