Chassis:
Although built on chassis 57455, this is one of several works Bugattis to use the 57335 number. It is believed to have been the car driven to victories in the 1936 French Grand Prix and Marne Grand Prix, and the 24 Hours of Le Mans a year later. It could very well be the sole survivor of the Type 57 Tanks built and raced between 1936 and 1939 because it was shipped to Bordeaux by Ettore Bugatti shortly before the War. It has since been owned by some of the greatest Bugatti collectors like Jean de Dobbeleer, Uwe Hucke and Nicolas Seydoux. The Le Mans winner's current custodian is Fred Simeone and as a result, it can be admired by all in the Simeone Foundation Automotive Museum in Pennsylvania. At a rare outing, it is seen here at the 2013 Quail, a Motorsports Gathering.
