Chassis:
Chassis MS670B-06 was the final all-new Matra sports racer built. Updated to MS670C specification, it was raced in the 1974 edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans by Henri Pescarolo and Gerard Larousse. Starting from pole, the French pairing scored Matra's third victory in a row with an impressive six-lap lead. Not raced again, the Le Mans-winning chassis was retained by Matra and displayed in the company museum. The car made rare appearances at special events and eventually joined the Le Mans Museum collection. In 2023, the 1974 Le Mans-winner was demonstrated at the Le Mans Classic and Goodwood Festival of Speed as part of the Le Mans centenary celebrations.
