Chassis:
The second 350S built, this chassis was equipped with a rear-mounted gearbox. In this guise, it was only raced once, at the Reims 12 Hours by Umberto Maglioli and Luigi Piotti. Having failed to finish, it was rebuilt and sold to Tony Parravano in the United States, possibly fitted with a V8. He entered it for the 1957 Sebring 12 Hours but never actually raced the car. Still in American hands, this rare survivor is seen here during the 2005 New York City Concours d'Elegance and nearly a decade later at the 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance, where Maserati's centenary was celebrated.
