The second Le Mans Sprite built in 1965, this example was raced by Paul Hawkins and John Rhodes in that year's 24 Hours of Le Mans. They finished an excellent 12th overall and first in class; the type's best result at Le Mans. It later formed part of the Patrick Collection and displayed in the Patrick Motor Museum. More recently, the ex-Le Mans racer was acquired by a Japanese enthusiast, who raced it in the inaugural Le Mans Classic.
