Chassis:
The second and final De Cadenet-Lola built by Thompson, this chassis was first pressed into service at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1978. Driven by Craft and De Cadenet, it placed 15th overall after starting 10th. De Cadenet continued to race LM-4 into the 1980 season when he drove it to victory at Monza and Silverstone with Desiré Wilson. For the 1981 Le Mans, he received backing from Belga and was joined by Belgian drivers Jean-Michel Martin and Philippe Martin. They entered the car at Silverstone and Le Mans but failed to finish on both occasions. The car has survived in remarkably original condition and was actively raced in historic events during the mid-2000s when it was owned by then Lola proprietor Martin Birrane.
