Chassis:
Completed in September of 1960, this all alloy 250 GT SWB was sold new to Belgian racer Willy Mairesse. He immediately fielded his new Ferrari in the Tour de France with Georges Berger as co-driver. The Belgian pairing finished first outright, clinching the first Tour de France win for the 250 GT SWB. Later that year, Mairesse placed second in the Paris 1000 km at Montlhery together with Wolfgang von Trips. In 1961, it was raced without success at Le Mans in a year later it made its final contemporary appearance in the Tour de Corse. Following a brief spell in Italy, it has since the 1960s been in British hands. Chassis 2129GT's most recent owner acquired the Tour de France winning SWB in 2001 and in the following years he has regularly competed in the Tour Auto retrospective.
