Chassis:
This is chassis 105194, which was internally referred to as car number 4. It was the actual car used by Manfred von Brauchitsch to win the 1934 Eiffelrennen. In doing so, it not only scored the very first win for the W25 but also recorded the first of many victories of the 'Silver Arrows.' The ground-breaking chassis was raced extensively until the summer of 1935. It was soon restored and displayed for many years in the Swiss Museum of Transport and Communication. More recently it was restored again to full running order in time for the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the 'Silver Arrow.' At one of these celebrations, it is seen here during the 2009 Goodwood Festival of Speed where it was piloted up the hill by, among others, Jochen Mass and World Championship leader Jenson Button.
