Chassis:
Retained by Ford, chassis J-5, which was later determined to actually be the winning car, has been displayed for many years in the Henry Ford museum. In recent years, it was brought out for events like the Monterey Motorsports Reunion, Goodwood Festival of Speed and Goodwood Revival where its former driver Dan Gurney was honoured. During transit to the United Kingdom the car was damaged, and it was decided to finally have the car restored to running order while preserving its originality. The work has been entrusted to Dan Gurney's All American Racers.
