Chassis:
Sold new through Hollywood Sports Cars, this single louvre Tour de France was not raced in period. It was completed in December of 1958, featured covered headlights and was finished in red with a tan interior. Chassis 1139GT was used exclusively on the road by its various owners until it finally made its racing debut in the 1999 Tour Auto. It has since been regularly raced, a tradition continued by the current Swiss owner, who acquired the car in the mid 2000s. He subsequently repainted the car in the rather unusual metallic red with a silver stripe.
