Chassis:
The second M12 built, this was the car designated for Rick Mears and John Morton to drive. Even after it was withdrawn, the car was brought to the French track as a spare for Mario and Michael Andretti. Upon its return in the United States, it was extensively tested as part of the M12's development program. Ultimately never raced in period, it was put into storage by Cluxton until it was acquired by a collector in 2003. It changed hands again in 2005 following a complete service. The ill-fated Group C racer has now been consigned to RM Auctions' Monaco sale where it will cross the block on May 10th.
