Chassis: BT24-1
This is chassis BT24-1, which was used by Jack Brabham for most of the 1967 season. He drove the small car to two wins and three second place finishes. Today it is still in very original condition, complete with the original engine, gearbox and body. For racing the body is replaced by an exact replica to preserve it for the future. In recent years, it was mainly used in Australian historic races, but in the summer of 2006 it was brought over to Europe for a select number of historic races. It is seen here in action in the two Grand Prix Masters race, which headlined that year's Silverstone Classic. Many years later, chassis BT24-1 was consigned to the 2014 Gooding & Co. Pebble Beach Auctions, where it sold for just over $1 million.
