Chassis:
Of the various styles offered by Fleetwood, the two-door body fitted to this Duesenberg Model A was known as the 'Doctor's Coupe'. True to the design's name, the first owner of the car was a Pennsylvania-based physician, Dr. C.E. Beals. Among its subsequent custodians were noted collector Fred McGarvey, who cherished the car for a staggering 44 years and the Harrah's Automobile Collection. Still in mostly original condition, the Model A was eventually acquired by Richard and Linda Kughn. They had the only surviving Model A Doctor's Coupe known restored by their private shop Classic Auto Restoration.
