Chassis:
Confusingly chassis 3 was the second Inaltera constructed in 1976. It was entered at Le Mans that year for Henri Pescarolo and Jean-Pierre Beltoise. The two experienced drivers finished 8th overall and first in the GTP class. Early in 1977, the car was also raced in the Daytona 24 Hours. That year Beltoise and Al Holbert ran as high as second at Le Mans until a pit-fire dropped them down to finish 13th overall. The following year the new owner, François Trisconi and André Chevalley managed to clinch the GTP title once more. In recent year the car has been completely restored by the current owner. He brought the car back to its home on several occasions for the bi-annual Le Mans Classic. It is pictured here at the 2004 and 2006 editions with none other than Henri Pescarolo behind the wheel.
