The very first Mazda 767 produced, this example debuted at Fuji and was subsequently driven to class victory at Silverstone. Starting 29th, it eventually finished 17th at Le Mans. Its racing career continued well into the 1989 season when it was raced 767B specification boasting both white and blue Finish Line, and the orange and green Charge liveries. With class wins at Dijon, Le Mans, Brands Hatch, the Nürburgring, Spa-Francorchamps and Mexico, it was the most successful of the three 767s produced.
