Chassis:
This was the very first DN4 built, which was used extensively during pre-season testing. Unfortunately, it was crashed heavily and was not rebuilt in time to actually compete in the 1974 Canadian-American Challenge Cup. Nichols retained the remains and eventually had chassis DN4-1P rebuilt to its original configuration. He sold the car in 2001 and it has since been regularly raced in historic events. Fitted with a not quite period correct 900 bhp, 8.7-litre V8 engine, it should be one of the fastest naturally aspirated Can-Am cars in existence today.
