Chassis:
The highest numbered 250F and presumably the very last built, this was the second Piccolo sold to Temple Buell. For reasons unknown, presumably to allow the cars to travel with just one carnet, it was always raced as chassis 2533. It is understood that this car was entered by Buell for Masten Gregory and Carroll Shelby in several events in New Zeeland. After its sojourn in the Southern Hemisphere, it was returned to Italy and donated to Carlo Biscaretti di Rufia for his museum in Turin. In 1972, chassis 2534 was acquired by Anthony Bamford, who had it restored for Willy Green to race it in historic events. During the early 1990s, it was sold to another noted British collector, Lindsay Owen-Jones. Today, it is owned by a Dutch collector and historic racer.
