The third of three Honda RA272s built, this example was predominantly raced during the 1965 season by team leader Richie Ginther. He debuted the car at Monaco, where he started on the very last row. Quite in contrast, he also used the car to score Honda's first Formula 1 victory in the season finale at Mexico. Like all Honda F1 cars of the era, it was retained by Honda. Today, it is still in full running order and is regularly shown and demonstrated around the world.
