Chassis:
Completed ahead of the 1997 season, this is the very first of the Longtail McLaren F1 GTRs built. It was used for promotional purposes before it was raced once by the Japanese Team Lark in August of 1997. Chassis 19R did not return to the track until 1999 but it was then raced in Japan well into the 2005 season, scoring a single victory in 34 attempts. Re-finished in its Team Lark livery, it was sold to the United States upon its retirement from contemporary racing. Now in British hands, it has been restored to the distinct paint-scheme used during the original launch. Soon after the work was completed, it was driven with great verve by Kenny Brack during the 2014 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
