Chassis:
Sold new to Canadian Harry Entwistle, this was the first Series Lotus 15 to compete in an international race. Joined by Robert Hanna, Entwistle campaigned the car in the 1959 Sebring 12 Hours until the relentless rain drowned the Lucas electric system on lap 126. Entwistle continued to race the car for many more years. It eventually changed hands in Canada and the Coventry Climax FPF was at one point replaced with an MGA sourced unit. During the 1980s, the car was tracked down by Jack Boxstrom and completely restored for subsequent owner Don Orosco, who raced it with a 2.5-litre engine in historic events. Among the subsequent owners was fellow historic racer Murray Smith. Today, chassis 618/3 is fitted with a two-litre engine and is still a regular sight in historic events.
