Chassis: A3-2
The second Arrows A3 built, this car was allocated to Jochen Mass at the start of the 1980 season. At the season opening Argentinean Grand Prix the experienced German failed to reach the finish due to gearbox issues. He then finished 10th in Brazil. From the South African Grand Prix, Mass campaigned a newer A3 chassis. In 1981, Siegfried Stohr failed to qualify the car at Long Beach and it was not used again. Restored to the iconic Warsteiner livery, chassis A3-2 is seen here in action during the 2010 Monterey Motorsports Reunion.
