Chassis:
First raced in the summer of 1981, this is the penultimate Williams FW07 constructed. In FW07C guise, it was campaigned by Alan Jones in the final rounds of the 1981 World Championship with a victory in the Caesars Palace Grand Prix as the highlight. For the 1982 season, it was upgraded to FW07D specification using some components developed for the new FW08. It was raced twice by Carlos Reutemann with a second as the best result and once by Mario Andretti, who retired from the US Grand Prix West at Long Beach. Following its contemporary racing career, it was sold to Jacques Setton along with two other FW07s. In the early 2000s, it was acquired from the French collector by American Roy Walzer, who had it prepared for historic racing. The current owner, a fellow historic racer bought chassis FW07D/16 in 2011 and has continued to campaign the Williams.
