Chassis:
Although this was the first of six FW08s produced, chassis 01 was not raced until the Canadian Grand Prix in June of 1982. Rosberg failed to finish the race but later placed third in Germany and second in Austria with this car. It was not raced again but it is believed to have been equipped with the four-wheel rear-end for testing purposes. Rebuilt to its original configuration, it was eventually sold by Williams to a private collector. Following some years in American hands, it is today owned by an Irish historic racer, who regularly campaigns it in historic events.
