Chassis:
Following its contemporary racing career, the unique Ligier JS3 was eventually acquired by prominent French collector Pierre Bardinon, who was better known for his unrivalled stable of Ferraris. During the late 1990s, it resurfaced and was completely restored by Simon Hadfield to race-ready condition. It campaigned for the new owner by historic racer Willy Green before it was offered at auction in February of 2003. Among the subsequent owners were Mike Jankowski and Jacques Nicolet, who continued to race the unique machine at select events. The one-off JS3 has now joined a formidable stable of Ligier competition cars, which includes the sole surviving JS1 and also a Cosworth DFV engined JS2.
