Chassis:
Fitted with Jean Bugatti designed Super Sport body, this Type 55 was delivered new to Bugatti's British distributor Col. Charles Sorel in London. Chassis 55211 was then acquired by prolific Bugatti racer and Rolls-Royce design engineer Stewart Stuart Tresilian. After the War, the striking Bugatti was acquired by American enthusiast Briggs S. Cunningham and displayed for many years in his museum. Following his death in the 1980s, the hugely original car was acquired by the current custodian. It can today be seen at the Revs Institute museum in Naples, Florida.
