Chassis:
The first of three Surtees TS20s built, this car was entered for Vittorio Brambilla during most of the 1978 Grands Prix. At the car's Monaco debut, the Italian failed to qualify and in the remainder of the outings could do no better than a seventh place finish at Jarama. Later in the year, Beppe Giabbiani failed to qualify the car twice for the two North American rounds of the World Championship. Chassis TS20-01 received a new lease of life in historic racing and was campaigned for many years by Englishman Terry Sayles. He eventually sold the Surtees and it is now owned by a German enthusiast, who we are more used to seeing race Alfa Romeo GTAs with great verve.
