Chassis:
A works car, chassis 0056 was first raced in the 1964 Targa Florio with Luciano Conti at the wheel. Unfortunately, he was forced to retire on the sixth lap. Early in 1965, it was sold to Italian privateer racer Gianni Lado, who raced under the pseudonym 'Matich'. He had the car painted a very distinct flat black and raced it with considerable success during the 1965 and 1966 seasons. He mainly fielded the car in hill climb events, scoring several class victories. Lado offered the car for sale early in 1967, and it had two further Italian owners before it joined the collection of the late Fabrizio Violati in 1977. For well over three decades, it was displayed in his Maranello Rosso museum in San Marino. In 2014, it was sold to an Italian enthusiast at auction. Since then, it has been fully restored and painted in the flat black as raced by 'Matich' in period.
