Chassis: M23-9
A new car built for the 1975 season, chassis M23-9 was campaigned throughout the year by defending champion Emerson Fittipaldi. He started off his title defence well with a debut victory in the Argentinean Grand Prix. Later in the year, he also won at Silverstone, while he also finished second in Brazil and Monaco. At the start of the 1976 season, it was used by James Hunt to score wins in the non-championship Race of Champions at Brands Hatch and the International Trophy at Silverstone. For the remainder of the season, this M23 was campaigned by his team-mate Jochen Mass. Now in American ownership, M23-9 has been restored to its early 1976 configuration and accordingly features an all-orange airbox.
