Chassis:
This Delta S4 was first pressed into service at the 1986 New Zeeland Rally. Driven by Markku Alén, it ended the rally second, almost two minutes behind the victorious Peugeot 205 of Juha Kankkunen. Finished in Totip colours, it was subsequently raced Italian Dario Cerrato in the Piancavallo Rally and the San Remo Rally, where he placed second behind Alén. The San Remo results were however scratched as the Italian organisers had banned the Peugeots from competing without proper cause. Now restored to its original Martini works livery, it is today part of an all encompassing collection of Lancia competition cars.
