Chassis:
One of the very last 300S Maseratis built, this car was completed early in 1959. It was sold new to Angola, where it was most likely raced in local events. It eventually ended up in South Africa where it remained until the 1980s. Through a British dealer, it was eventually acquired by notable German collector and historic racer Burkhard von Schenk. Finished with his signature checkered flag noseband, Von Schenk would go on to race the 300S in historic events for over two decades. In 2013, it was acquired by an Austrian enthusiast, who has continued to race the car at events around Europe.
