The unique Wolverine Chevrolet was last raced in contemporary events by James Place during the 1972 season. It was then acquired by fellow American Richard Bennett, who retained the car well into the 2000s. The next custodian was Danish historic racer Mogens Christensen. Beautifully restored to its original configuration and still wearing the Place Motor Supply banner, it has since been raced regularly around Europe, including two outings at the Goodwood Revival, where it once again faced its Lola and McLaren rivals of old.
