Chassis:
One of the most extensively raced Porsche 908/02 Spyders, this chassis debuted as a Flunder at the Nürburgring but did not start the race after an accident in practice. Later in the year Jo Siffert and Brian Redman won at Watkins Glen and a day later Siffert also placed sixth in the Can-Am race. Sold at the end of the year, it was campaigned by a variety of drivers for many more years. By the mid-1970s, it sported a new, much more angular body. It last saw contemporary action in the second incarnation of the Can-Am series in the hands of Canadian Gary Hirsch. Fortunately, it has since been restored to its original configuration. It is currently being campaigned in historic events like the Le Mans Classis by its German owner.
