Chassis:
A Porsche works car, chassis 006 lined up for the 1969 Sebring 12 Hours in the hands of Hans Herrmann, Kurt Ahrens and Rolf Stommelen. Starting ninth, they retired early due to a crack in the chassis. Still with the original Spyder body, it was one of the T-cars for the Nürburgring 1000 km race where it was pressed into services after two of the new Flunders were damaged in practice. Shared by Jo Siffert and Brian Redman, it set the fastest time in qualifying and would go on to win the race. Later in the year, it was loaned to the Porsche Salzburg team for the Zeltweg 1000 km race where it finished fifth. Retained by Porsche, it is on display today in the official Porsche Museum, sporting the livery of the 1969 Targa Florio winner.
