Chassis:
The twelfth and last Corvette built by John Greenwood, this car was completed in 1977 but sat unused until 1982. Entered and driven in that year's Lime Rock IMSA raced by Al DeLeo, it lasted just 11 laps. This was the Corvette's only contemporary entry and it then disappeared from the limelight again. Aficionado Lance Smith tracked the car down in 1991 but it was not until the current owner acquired the car in more recent years that it was prepared for racing once more. Now liveried in striking Spirit of America colours, it is believed to be the most original of the twelve wide body Corvettes built by John Greenwood.
